Glock 27 Gen5 pistol

With the release of the subcompact G27 Gen5 model, the latest generation of the Glock standard is now available in .40 S&W.

The .40 S&W caliber fills the gap between the .45 ACP and 9mm Luger. It became widely known primarily through its extensive use by the American FBI. Glock was the first manufacturer to make the advantages of this well-balanced caliber available to law enforcement agencies.

Compared to the Gen4, the Gen5 eliminates the finger grooves on the grip, freeing up grip sizes for different hand sizes. The magazine well features a funnel to facilitate magazine changes. The slide stop lever, now also present on the right side, makes operation easier for left-handed shooters. The interchangeable backstraps of the Multiple Backstrap System (MBS) allow for customization to individual hand sizes. The slide, with additional front serrations, is coated with an extremely durable nDLC coating. The rear sight, adjustable for windage, has a wider notch (4.40 mm x 3.75 mm), which allows more light to reach the eye, especially for taller shooters with long arms or in low-light conditions. The newly developed Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) of the Gen5 offers increased accuracy thanks to its polygonal rifling.
