The Chiappa 1892 lever-action rifle is crafted with an elegant walnut stock . The color case-hardened receiver harmonizes beautifully with the dark walnut. A high-quality and excellently crafted rifle for target shooting, in a traditional Western-style design.
At the front end of the tubular magazine is the lever for the rotating bolt. Simply unscrew the tubular magazine, then hold the lever action with one hand on the pistol grip and the other on the forend, and with a quick, firm twist, unscrew the magazine and bolt. This should, of course, be done with the weapon unloaded.
This is how you turn a long 24-inch rifle into a compact and portable Western long gun, even for shorter transport cases on the way to the shooting range.
